The history of the Hotel Restaurant Pedretti started in 1906 when the two brothers Clemente and Luigi Pedretti (great-great-grandfather of current owner Franco Pedretti) inherited a portion of land.
Giuseppe was left with a part of land in the locality of Colerini, with the addition of a portion in the locality of Follo next to the current Piazzetta Follo, adjacent to the roadway.
Clemente instead was given the part of land again in the locality of Follo but the portion towards the river. On this land a building with various types of facilities will be erected: tavern with rooms, slaughterhouse, stable for horses, that after several transformations and renovations will become first Hotel Branzi, then, in 2006, the current Restaurant Hotel Pedretti.
When Pedretti Giuseppe died, the building will be inherited by the males of the family who will liquidate their sisters with money. Luigi, the eldest son and owner’s grandfather, bought the shares of his siblings Palmino, Ferruccio, Giuseppe Osvaldo, Noemi and Angela.
His children inherited themselves the Hotel and in 1980 Giuseppe Osvaldo took over the whole hotel, buying his siblings’ shares and with his wife Elena will manage the well-known Hotel Branzi for 26 years.
Osvaldo Pedretti, in addition, being also a professional skier, has managed the Rifugio Laghi Gemelli for 30 years.
On 31 December 2005, Giuseppe Osvaldo donates the enterprise of restaurant, hotel, bar to his son Franco, current chef of the restaurant, who manages the family’s facility with commitment and much satisfaction.
Since this date, the activity takes the name of Hotel Ristorante Pedretti, in honor to the family that has been managing this activity for four generations.
Since the origins of this activity to the current days, during all managements by the Pedretti family, the hotel has been transformed and influenced by time periods with the will of continuing the endeavor started by the forefathers and completing it to create an innovative, modern facility that fully caters to and meets the clients’ needs.
